YCDP is designed to enhance the capacity of the youth to be leaders of the future generation by equipping them with important and necessary skills that are outside of and complement to their regular school or university curriculums. The topics offered by the YCDP will be specifically tailored to fulfill the need for Cambodian young leaders in the current and prospect future context of Cambodia in order for them to achieve personal careers and become effective leaders of the future generation. The learning program will seek to establish relationship and coordination with prospect employers from private companies, NGOs, Development Agencies and Government Institutions that need to employ staff with capacity, skills and ethics. Launch of Youth Capacity Development Program: The Outstanding Youth Group of Cambodia launched its Youth Capacity Developing Program (YCDP) on February 21-22, 2009 at the United Nations' conference room with the participation of Mr. Teruo Jinnai, Country Representative of UNESCO, Mr. Jon Darrah, Country Director of Peace Corps and also representing the US Ambassador, Board of Advisor of OYG-CAM, Executive Committee of OYG-CAM , YCDP candidates and the press and media with approximately 80 people.
More documents: Youth Networking and Team Building Program is the full name of our program. The aim of this program is to promote youth in sharing experience and knowledge and building team spirit among youth in Cambodia. OYG has already conducted 4 camping programs:
Exchange with Norway students:
There was an exchange program between OYG members and Norway students for 2 days on 24-25 March 2009 with the purpose of making friends and exchange experience between Cambodian students and Norway students.
Workshop with Oustanding Youth Group on Social AccountabilityPaññasastra University of Cambodia (PUC)March 22, 2009, 2:00-5.30pm ANSA in cooperation with Outstanding Youth Group of Cambodia (OYG-CAM), organized a workshop on Social Accountability 101 to Cambodian youth in order to raise more awareness on youth and their involvement in social accountability. The workshop was coordinated by Mr. Don Don Parafina, ANSA network, with the assistance of Board of Advisor, Mr. Preap kol, and Executive Committee members of OYG-CAM. There were 35 participants presenting at the workshop including YCDP students and members of OYG Executive Committee.
